After spending a few days in Ouro Preto we left to head towards Rio de Janeiro .
Our daily life was something like, arriving at a place, setting up the tent, eating something and enjoying and/or resting depending on the sector we were in. Before leaving for Rio de Janeiro we went to a town called Lavras Novas , a small town not very big that was near Ouro Preto , we went to visit Claudio , an old friend of my friend Yerko, I remember that when we arrived we went to eat and talk a little about everything, then we arrived at his house where he hosted us for a couple of days, in that place I met the famous Cachaza, a strong liquor similar to burning water, we ate empanadas and also shared with Claudio's friends where without a doubt It was a good time to go through that place.
Once we left the town, we reached the BR-040 highway, which headed towards Rio de Janeiro, while there we spent one or two nights at a gas pump in an area called Conselheiro Lafaiete , a place where it was very common for It was our part to arrive and hitchhike , we got up very early to talk to the truckers who were heading towards Rio, many of them told us no, it was only during the afternoon when we managed to get a trucker to take us, it is not possible There is no doubt that it was a moment of happiness for us.
It was approximately 4 hours of travel with around 300km of distance, we were lucky to advance in one fell swoop where it was a profitable and unforgettable trip.

When we arrived in Rio it was time to look for somewhere to set up our tents, without a doubt it was something difficult to find in a city like Rio de Janeiro, we walked too much that day, after many options that were not the best we made the decision After looking for a cheap hostel, we went into an alley where, in a neighborhood where anything could happen, it was a dirty place, with people sleeping on the streets, full of malucos and everything bad that you can see in a place like that, we We entered that place thinking that there would be something cheap, but it turned out to be the opposite, we were not successful and we had to leave that place, we came to the conclusion that we had to leave the city of Rio, it was already being a problem to be there, we We went to the bus terminal, we practically crossed the entire city on a bus where I could see the other side of Rio, a bad, filthy city where you don't really see anything good, nothing to do with what you see on television when you go on vacation. When we arrived at the bus terminal we had to look at the map to see what could be a strategic place to spend the night, we decided that Niteroi was the place we should go, we had to cross the Rio bridge to the North. Niteroi is a beach where it was full of boats but there were certainly no problems placing the tent since it was a more or less private sector, to get there you had to cross a certain place where some people lived, something like a community Finally, when it was already 10 p.m. , a very long day for us, it was only at that moment that we were able to rest and enjoy a wonderful view that overlooked all of Rio de Janeiro.
