Have you heard about Morro de São Paulo ? It is an island located in the state of Bahia , and you must get to Valença to take a boat that takes you to it. The entrance fee is 15 Reales. but without a doubt it is a place worth knowing.
When we left Arraial D'Ajuda we spent a couple of days on the road, sleeping at various fuel stations. As the days went by we arrived at a beautiful beach called Itacaré , in that place I got sick and went three days without eating or drinking. nothing since I was vomiting everything, I was lucky enough to meet Christian , better known as the Nomad , he was a Chilean and his partner was Brazilian, they offered to take me to the hospital since I was not getting better, so he needed to see me urgently.
When I was finally able to improve my state of health, we moved from that place that I couldn't particularly enjoy, although its beach was beautiful, it was time to continue the route, we were heading towards Morro de São Paulo , a completely beautiful island, which was worth the worth knowing, when we arrived in Valença we had to stock up on food, since in Morro things are much more expensive than usual, then we took a bus that would take us to where the maritime transportation was located to get to Morro.

That day we arrived at night and were surprised that we had to pay entry, as backpackers we couldn't spend so much money, especially in that place, we needed to survive the other days, when we arrived at the main sector of Morro we realized that only There were two main roads and nothing else, one led to the beaches and commercial establishments, the other was lodgings and one or another business, we did not have enough money to stay and it was an island that was too luxurious for us so we made the decision to walk towards where the beaches were, when we reached the first beach where there were a lot of people, there were parties and places to eat and drink, we found a sector like a little island within that beach, which could cover us more or less to place the tents, We had to set them up at around 1:30 AM , since it couldn't be done before because of the people. As I said, it was a very luxurious place, although in the area where we worked during the night everything happened. The next day we covered the doors a little. tents with some branches to go more unnoticed since there were too many people in the place, everything was fine at that moment, enjoying the sea, the sand and the landscape until some people appeared who were like from the municipality or guards of the island who They told us that we couldn't be camping in that place, we had to leave the island or pay to stay, so we had to tell them that we didn't have money for that, basically explain the situation we were in, luckily they told us that we could stay. one more day and then we had to leave, so we took the opportunity to walk to another beach that was on the same island to stay a little calmer, once we settled in we just enjoyed the place, when people left we had the beach to ourselves, The peace that was generated in the place and the beautiful sunsets were incredible, it was a beautiful Caribbean place that was worth every effort we made to be in that place.
